Jason Berglund is a 2024 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-1 142 lb. frame from Parker, CO who attends Chaparral. He has a tall frame with a slender build and plenty of room to add strength. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.76 seconds. He worked out in the outfield, showing good actions when moving to the ball. He fields the ball out front and throws with a long arm action. He throws from a lower slot and is able to create nice carry. His arm will continue to get stronger as he develops. Right-handed hitter that starts with an even base that is slightly open. He uses a simple stride and has a rotational swing. He has a short swing path, taking his hands directly to the ball. He has a level swing and looks to hit line drives to all parts of the field. He does a nice job of staying on balance and will add more power with additional strength. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
