Connor Bertell is a 2025 C/OF with a 5-7 122 lb. frame from Greensboro, NC who attends Southeast Guilford. Medium frame with wiry strength and some quickness to his actions. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.41 seconds. Primary position C, setting up nice and low with game like actions. Direct footwork as he gains ground to the target after an efficient midline transfer to throw. Emerging arm strength with throws up to 65 mph and pop time best 2.27 seconds. Young man volunteered to catch in games that he was not scheduled to play in and probably caught 20 innings in two days. Knows how to work the glove and presented borderline pitches nicely for his staff. Obviously loves to play the game. RHH working from an extra wide stance with a very quiet load and good handset at the shoulders. Arm dominated swing with the barrel below the ball quite a bit. Emerging feel for the barrel and will see power play with added physicality in the coming months. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
