2025 PG Sophomore National Showcase (2028 Grads)
Paxton Ladner is a 2028 1B/RHP/OF with a 6-5 210 lb. frame from Waxhaw, NC who attends Weddington High School. Big and strong physical build. Primary first baseman who also has two-way potential on the mound. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a knee lift trigger, has strength in his swing and good jump off the barrel, gap to gap approach, stays timed up and on the barrel well. 7.15 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, has well coordinated footwork and nice feel around the bag, throws well from lower slots, should be a defensive asset. Also worked out in the outfield. Took a turn on the mound and showed his arm potential well. Worked exclusively from the stretch with simple mechanics and good drive down the mound, full arm stroke in back, threw both two and four-seam fastballs with big sink on the 2-seam, topped out at 87 mph. Upper 70's slider was crisp and sharp. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
