Alex Cothern is a 2030 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Cedar Point, NC who attends Croatan. Tall lean build with projection. Primary infielder, shows the feel to funnel it in. Transfers quickly and delivers across the diamond accurately with good strength for the age. In the outfield, he moves through the ball well. Shorter arm stroke to extended three-quarters release. Could use his momentum better to add the downhill zip to the throws. Rght-handed hitter, wide base, high back elbow, and high hand set. Coils the hands well into the loaded position. Gets the barrel extended to hard pull side contact. Huge prjection to the frame. On the mound, delivers from the stretch only. Leg lift to belt height and release from high three-quarters slot. Locates the fastball well. Curveball as the late depth to miss barrels. 7.35 60-yard.
