2021 Fall Northern California Showcase
Nathan Plata is a 2026 C/ with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from San Jose, CA who attends The King's Academy. Features a lean build with moderate strength throughout. Ran a 7.81 60-yard dash. Showcased advanced actions throughout infield and catching drills. Quick feet behind the plate allows for good ground to be gained. Transitions well into short, quick arm action. Produce strong throws with solid accuracy down to second. Produced a 2.00 pop time. Athleticism played well on the infield. Moved well in both directions. Glove actions work through hops well. Arm strength plays across the infield. Utilizes an even base setup at the plate with a simple load with a slight barrel wrap. Direct bat path produces frequent line drives. Approach stays up the middle with the ability to go the other way. More of a contact hitter for now. Power plays gap to gap. Very good student, as well.

Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
