Matthew Kelley is a 2026 SS/RHP/2B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Henderson, NV who attends Basic. Tall and lean build with lots of room to fill in and get stronger. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with a knee turn into his stride, long and strong swing with good bat speed and some lift to the middle of the field and to the pull side, projectable hitting tools as he continues to get stronger. 6.69 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, is an athletic mover with big arm strength, tends to get his glove down late, good timing and actions with his footwork, tools to stick at shortstop moving forward. Also worked out in the outfield and showed his big arm strength well. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
