Cayden Hessemyer is a 2024 SS/RHP, 2B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Odessa, FL who attends Steinbrenner. Recorded a 7.00 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop with a lean and athletic frame. Showed quick, active feet with plenty of twitch in the dirt. Hands are soft and works through it well. Good arm strength across the diamond, registering up to 88 mph from short. Right-handed hitter and starts with a medium base and slighlty open feet. Bat is vertical at contact and stays through it well. Turns over the barrel well and worked the gaps while staying on time consistently. Secondary right-handed pitcher and uses a leg lift to waist level . Gathers methodically and loads well before working to the plate with energy and intent. Lands on line at foot strike and stays short with arm action through the back. Ran the fastball up to 85 mph and showed an excellent feel to spin a slider with tight, two-plane break. Potential to offer impact offensively and on the mound. Excellent student. Named to the 2021 Main Event Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
