Alex D'Angelo is a 2026 C/1B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Ridgewood, NJ who attends Ridgewood. Medium, well-proportioned frame with a long levers, square shoulders and some present lower half strength. Primary catcher that received from a higher, side-saddled stance with quickness to his footwork, good adjustments with his glove hand and some present arm strength. Gains ground towards his target efficiently, displayed a direct midline transfer and produced arm strength up to 72 mph from behind the plate during drills. Secondary first baseman with a fundamentally sound defensive skill set. Displayed agility around the bag, fairly quick turns to throw and arm strength up to 77 mph across the diamond during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider, open base with a tight hand set, high back elbow and hanging trigger. Leveraged stroke with tons of intent and strength at impact. Middle-of-the field approach with ability to turn the barrel over on the inner-half with easy. Solid overall skill set with upside on both sides of the ball, will continue to improve with proper mechanical adjustments in all facets of his game and additional physical maturity.
