Austin Barrera is a 2026 RHP/C/UT with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Copperas Cove, TX who attends Copperas Cove. Compact, athletic frame with good proportions and chance to add some strength. Ran a 6.74 60-yard dash, has foot speed with solid form. Right-handed pitcher, two piece arm action with a light stab, semi wind-up with feet starting spread across the rubber, small sidestep, minimal leg lift to the thigh area, holds balance point over rubber at apex of lift, three-quarters arm slot, off-line arm action, inline down the slope, neutral front foot at strike, will cut fastball some and land it glove side, some effort to repeat this consistently, soft spin traits to the curve, sinking depth to change, competes in zone, running action to change at times. Outfielder, higher slot, good feet with soft hands, gets to bag with accuracy, solid round. Right-handed hitter, high hand set, deep arm bar, spread stance, quick hands, intent in the swing, athletic with hand speed, level swing path. Named to the 2025 Sunshine Texas Top Prospect List.
