Roberto Barreto is a 2024 3B/RHP with a 6-4 190 lb. frame from Quebradillas, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Long and strong athletic build with room to get even stronger, stands out physically. Right handed hitter, hits from a tall stance with a high hand start, rotational upper body swing with lots of extension, can get inconsistent with the long levers and swing length but can really impact the ball, creates back spin easily, was on time in the games and made consistent hard pull contact, very interesting young hitter. Has solid actions at third base defensively, moves well for his size and has some flow and defensive rhythm, soft hands at the ball, feet are active, throws have some carry across. Also pitched, works from the stretch with a very long arm action, releases it from a mid to low 3/4's slot, gets close to side arm at times, inconsistent slot. Fastball worked up to 87 mph with good sink at times, also threw a soft slider and flashed a change up. Good student. Named to the PG Underclass All-American Games Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
