Alex Landau is a 2026 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Gansevoort, NY who attends Saratoga Springs. Landau works from a medium young build with projection remaining in the frame. As a primary LHP, he worked exclusively from the stretch displaying a belt high leg lift and 3/4 slot to pound the zone and record outs. He kept the arm stroke compact and repeatable with developing arm strength up to 74 mph. In terms of off speed, Landau mixed a bigger shaped 12-6 curve with further room to add spin profile. In the OF, he got behind the ball well showcasing a full arm action with consistent accurate throws on the bag up to 75 mph. Offensively, the lefty started from an even traditional base with a high hand set and high back elbow displaying natural loft to the stroke with good feel for the barrel. He used all parts of the field with power potential becoming more prominent in the future. Ran a 7.72 sixty yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
