Kael Barney is a 2026 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-5 193 lb. frame from Nolensville, TN who attends Nolensville. Long and lean athletic build with big physical projection remaining. Left handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a big stride into his swing, swings hard and gets extended through contact, looking to drive the ball and get it into the air, has strength in his swing and showed plenty of jump off the barrel when he was squared up. 7.01 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, throws from a lower arm slot with some carry on his throws, attacks the ball well and shows good athleticism. Also worked out in the outfield and threw from a similar lower arm slot. Good student, verbal commitment to Oregon State.
