Jeffrey Claycomb is a 2026 C/UT with a 6-1 197 lb. frame from Plano, TX who attends Rowlett. Big and strong athletic build. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with a simple leg raise trigger, moves in aggressively and swings hard, lots of intent and turns the barrel well, more gap to gap when lifting the ball, 100+ EV's in batting practice, pretty accurate barrel given his swing aggressiveness. 6.79 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up one knee down, gains ground into his throws, tends to rush his exchange, gains ground well, makes strong and accurate throws from a high arm slot when everything comes together. Good student with a verbal commitment to Ohio State.
