Sanchez Sands is a 2021 3B/ with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Nassau, NW. Medium frame with an athletic build. Projects to support additional strength. Primary third baseman with smooth paced footwork while traveling to and surrounding the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling and worked through transition with lose exchanges. Released from a three-quarters arm slot creating occasional carry to the bag at 75 mph. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and simple front side trigger. Created some linear shift into contact with lower half. Quick hands with a direct path to baseball. Utilized a naturally leveraged barrel plane through extension. Present bat speed and strength at contact. Looked to attack the baseball with intent and produced loud, hard contact to the middle of the field. Named to the 2019 National Underclass Main Event Showcase, Top Prospect List.
