Larry Hotaling is a 2025 SS/3B, OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Brooklyn, NY who attends The Stony Brook. Works from a medium athletic frame with physical strength present. Primary shortstop, works through the ball cleanly and gets rid of it quickly, covers ground well and gets to his spots with ease, has soft hands along with intriguing hand speed, showed a natural feel for the position, delivered accurate throws with carry, recorded arm strength up to 86 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, starts in a wider open base with tight hands and a high back elbow, utilizes a smaller leg lift trigger and compact hand path, displayed a contact-oriented stroke with good barrel consistency, showed some developing power to the pull-side, has a good feel for the barrel, recorded an exit velocity of 89 mph. Ran a 6.96 sixty-yard dash. Great student. Named to the 2023 Northeast Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.
