Korbin Griffin is a 2021 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Richland, MI who attends Gull Lake. Tall and lanky frame with lots of projection remaining and time to fill out physically. Ran a 7.10 second 60 yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, begins windup with a simple side step up to a high leg lift, loose arm action that works up to a high 3/4 arm slot, tempo to delivery with plenty of effort at release, gets good use of his lower half down the mound and will likely continue to throw harder in due time, short stride down the mound staying online to the plate with his lower half. Fastball has plenty of life to armside, topped out at 81 mph on the mound, curveball has late 12-to-6 shape, changeup shows diving action and complements the fastball well, high overall pitchability and is only going to get better with maturity. Secondary outfielder, fields the baseball to the side, good footwork to the baseball, quick release and online throws, similar arm stroke and arm strength as on the mound. Lefthanded hitter, spread out stance, bars back at load, small leg lift trigger used for timing, looks to lift the baseball into the air, torques some with hips, swing projects but needs some refinement for more consistent barreled contact.
