EJ Mayer is a 2027 SS/2B with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Sahuarita, AZ who attends Sahuarita. Long and lean athletic build with lots of physical projection remaining. Left handed hitter, sets up in a straight and narrow stance with a small shift into contact, has very loose and quick hands, turns his lower half with intent, creates extension through contact, present bat speed with more to come, just a very nice swing to build on. 6.98 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has smooth and athletic actions to the ball, soft hands, comfortable footwork, throws from multiple angles and has more raw arm strength than he showed, game actions. Very interesting young player with all the actions, just lack present strength. Good student.
