Nathan Mayfield is a 2025 1B/LHP, IF, OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Cerritos, CA who attends Gahr. Medium stocky frame with quality defensive traits. Proper fielding technique with easy clean arm stroke. Lacks the true carry as of yet but showed to be accurate to the bases. At first base, he displays clean footwork around the bag and fed the double play accurately and in rhtyhm. At the plate, he sets up with wide base. Swing shows advanced rhythm with approach that utilizes the entire field. Needs to add strength to truly impact baseballs. On the mound, stocky left hander with hybrid style delivery. Easy belt high lift and kick that works into release from a three-quarters slot. Easy effortless operation. Fastball lives in the zone and breaker needs to add sharpness to develop into the whiff producing type of offering. 8.01 60-yard. Great student.
