Tanner Spiers is a 2029 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Gulf Shores, AL who attends Gulf Shores. Long and tall athletic build with big physical projection remaining. Left handed hitter, sets up in an open stance with a tight lower half turn to start his swing, gets the barrel out front with a short path, all pull side contact with some jump off the barrel, impacted the ball hard in the games, projectable hitting tools. 7.61 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, tends to get his glove down late, over the top arm action, made accurate soft throws, still growing into his body defensively. Also pitched, works from a full wind up with a high leg raise and hooked arm swing, high 3/4's arm slot. Threw strikes with a fastball that topped out at 68 mph with some fading life. Threw mostly fastballs, flashed a 11/5 curveball, had two quick innings throwing fastball strikes to contact. Bat is his best present tool. Excellent student. Named to the 14U PG Deep South All-State Games Top Prospect List.
