Michael Medina is a 2028 SS/RHP, C, 1B, 2B, 3B, MIF, IF, OF, UT with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Lutz, FL. Medium, high waisted frame with a lean build and long limbs, projects physically moving forward. Ran a 7.69 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, plays back on the ball, shows sound actions with sound technique, comes through the ball nicely and gets it out of glove, shows arm strength and accuracy on throws across the diamond. Also pitched, begins on the third base side of rubber, belt high leg lift with a turn at top, gets into backside and comes down the mound well with a short take back working into a three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 73 mph, works around the zone with complete three-pitch mix. Worked mostly from the stretch, mixed both a curveball and changeup. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, wide base with a bent knee stance. Movement to hands pre-pitch, works on a linear plane through the zone, comes off the barrel well when on time, can implement additional lower half shift, full path through the point of contact.
