2025 PG Northeast High School All-State Games (Invite Only)
Evan Frangas is a 2028 LHP/1B with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Old Bethpage, NY who attends Plainview-Old Bethpage/Jfk. Lean and lanky young build with lots of growing ahead of him. Works from a well paced full wind up, throws from a high 3/4's arm slot with a loose and easy arm action, repeats his release well. Fastball was in the mid-70's and was mostly straight, has been up to 79 mph at past PG events, did a very nice job of throwing strikes with his fastball. Also threw a curveball with good feel and some sweeping life. Projects across the board and already has advanced mechanics and the ability to fill up the zone. Left handed hitter, sets up in a straight stance, shows surprising bat speed for his size, loud pull side contact with consistent timing and barrel accuracy, created some back spin at times, has hitting tools to further develop. 7.62 runner in the sixty. Secondary outfielder who also worked out at first base. Showed some athleticism in the outfield and made accurate throws with some idea on his footwork.
