Cole Schoenwetter is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Santa Barbara, CA who attends San Marcos. Lean athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Full hands over head flowing delivery, has good athletic balance throughout, full clean arm circle in back, 3/4's arm slot with very good extension out front. Fastball worked 92-94 mph from the wind up, more 90-92 from the stretch, fastball is pretty straight but thrown to spots, comfortable working glove side with the pitch. Showed nice arm speed and feel for a straight change up. Mid-70's curveball had big depth and vertical shape, dropped his slot a few times on his breaking ball with sharper more sweeping shape for a different look. Polished pitcher who can throw strikes with three quality pitches and can sequence them, still very projectable physically. Very good student, verbal commitment to UC Santa Barbara. Named to play in the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
