Jayden Costa is a 2025 OF/1B with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Edmonds, WA who attends Meadowdale. Features a tall/lean build with some decent athleticism. Ran a 7.06 60-yd dash. In the OF, showed developing actions. Some hesitation in the approach with noticeable slow-down into reception. Glove is displayed early low and out front. Glove tap with one extra shuffle into throws. Shows a shorter arm action that got off uphill throws with avg. strength and 50/50 accuracy. At the plate, sits in a wider open stance. Uses a smaller leg lift trigger with some rhythm to his hand load that works back and up creating some decent separation into launch. Hands take a more direct path to the baseball with a two-hand finish. Doesn't fully turn off backside. Flashes of above avg. bat/hand speed for his level. Some inconsistent timing and barrel feel, finding trouble at deeper contact points but found several quality LD/FB barrels to the pullside.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
