Ryan Mendez is a 2027 3B/1B/MIF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from East Hanover, NJ who attends Hanover Park High School. Big and strong athletic build with some projection remaining. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a low leg raise trigger, very good weight shift into contact that creates leverage and bat speed, lived on the barrel with hard pull side gap contact, gets extended well through contact, very good young hitter. Primary third baseman on defense, moves well for his size and stays behind the ball well, glove works well, plays with an easy internal clock and makes accurate throws while always being balanced. Good student. Named to the PG New York Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
