Brody Stevens is a 2030 3B/RHP/C with a 5-10 167 lb. frame from Baton Rouge, LA who attends Central. Medium frame with some present strength. Ran a 8.17 60-yard dash. On the mound, worked from a full windup with a staggered start on the 1B side. Side step into a belt-high leg lift and a medium arm action to a whippy 3/4 slot. Delivery works fairly direct to the plate with a more closed landing at foot strike. Fastball was 72-76 mph T76. Slider was 64 mph with spin and showed best when getting over the front side. Catching actions showed side-saddle looks with a shorter arm action, 2.08 pop time with 67 mph arm strength. Worked in the infield with a compact arm action and throws that carry, posted 76 mph across the infield. Right-handed hitter with an even stance and a short controlled stroke, showed quickness to the barrel and worked the other way with some lift/backspin, strength shows in the hands and projects as the body continues to mature. Good student.
