Eddie Kennedy, Jr. is a 2027 C/RHP/OF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Seminole, FL who attends Seminole. Medium, athletic frame with a high waist and room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.63 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, low set up behind the plate and pops straight up out of crouch, young footwork and will continue to refine, longer stride into release with a compact arm action, worked around the bag and best throw up to 76 mph. Also pitched, worked exclusively out of the stretch, belt high leg lift with some drop and drive through lower half coming down the mound. Full arm swing working to a high three-quarters release point, fastball topped out at 81 mph and turned over a changeup well at 73 mph, tends to get under the pitch a bit on curveball release in the low-60s. Right-handed hitter, medium and even base in the box with a high hand set and back elbow. Linear path through the zone and consistent with timing and mechanics. Contact oriented approach and power will continue to develop with strength gains, worked the middle of the field well and throughout round. Good student.
