Tristan Hernandez is a 2029 SS/RHP, OF, UT with a 5-7 129 lb. frame from San Antonio, TX who attends Sandra Day O'Connor. Medium, lean frame with room to continue adding on. Ran a 7.97 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, good tempo to the footwork and has good feel for angles, attacks the baseball and fields with a two hand funnel out in front of the frame. Works through the baseball well with good arm strength across. High slot release that produces carry, recorded throws up to 77 mph. Right-handed hitter, higher hands with a wide base, creates extension out front, rotational lower half and produces length through the zone. Consistent middle of the field impact with developing strength off the barrel. Secondary right-handed pitcher, good athleticism that shines here, abbreviated windup and works down the slope well. Works over the front side and showed a two-pitch mix, fastball worked consistently in the mid-70s, topping at 76 mph (2032 RPM) with some carry out of the hand and showed a curveball, up to 65 mph (1755 RPM) with 11-5 shape. Also worked out in the outfield and recorded throws up to 78 mph with bouncy actions. Athleticism shined in all phases.
