Landon Benford is a 2029 C/RHP/OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Williamson, GA who attends Pike County. Primary catcher with a medium frame and lean athletic build. 7.28 runner in the sixty. Right knee-down setup on throws working under the ball and gaining ground. Replaces the feet with short arm action on throws. Clean release with urgency and good intent. Foundation and actions to develop real well as he adds size and strength. Worked in the outfield with athletic footwork on approach to gather. Inline momentum on throws working through the ball with some carry and online accuracy to the bases. Right-handed hitter, even base with open front side. Knee-lift trigger to square working direct to zone. Compact stroke with impact out front and barrel control to all fields. Excellent student.
