Ben Gardner is a 2026 RHP/C with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from Villa Rica, GA who attends Villa Rica. Recorded a 7.29 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher with a lean and projectable frame. Begins delivery with a high leg lift to chest level. Athletic mover and nice tempo to the operation. Worked quickly on the bump and pounded the strike zone. Fastball topped at 85 mph and mixed in a slider with late break and tilt, drawing plenty of whiffs. Showed a changeup to round out the three-pitch mix. Secondary catcher and begins from a square set behind the plate. Quick transfer and stays under control. Stays downhill well and has arm strength. Showed one hop accuracy throughout and recorded 2.03 pop time in workouts. Right-handed hitter and starts from a wide base with slightly open feet. Uses a toe tap trigger and a short rock back load. Gets extended out front well and used a whole field approach. Has quickness to the hands and stayed on the barrel well during the round. Great student. Named to the 2024 National Underclass Showcase- Main Event Top Prospect List.
