Ryan Colliver is a 2028 SS/RHP/UT with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from North Richland Hills, TX who attends Richland. Recorded a 7.53 second sixty yard dash time. Medium frame. Primary shortstop with some feel to move and the arm is fine. Secondary catcher works from a wider side straddle stance with a direct mid-line transfer and an elongated process. Also threw on the mound. The right-handed pitcher works from a full windup from the middle of the rubber into a small side-step into a letter-high leg lift and a medium, in-line stride down the mound with drop-and-drive mechanics. The hands start at the face before dropping to the belt and working up to the ear before a compact takeaway and the arm comes through from a compact three- quarter arm angle. The fastball (2175 RPM) was up to 79 and sat low-to-upper 70s with sink and tail that he was able to locate in the zone. The change-up (1562 RPM) was low-70s with some arm-side drop and the curveball (1920 RPM) was upper-60s with 12-6 shape and some depth when he gets on top of the ball. Right-handed hitter starts from a super wide stance with low, tight hands over the plate, utilizes a heel lift trigger. Rotational swing with some fly balls to the pull-side. Intriguing player that flashed a good three-pitch mix on the mound. Great student.
