2026 PG Sophomore National Showcase (2029 Grads)
William Scott is a 2029 3B/RHP/C with a 5-11 168 lb. frame from Knoxville, TN who attends Farragut. Lean athletic build with some wiry present strength and more to come. Right handed hitter, has a simple and direct swing that is well timed, gets the barrel out front and gets extended well, flashed his power potential with a game home run to left center field. 7.28 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, has step by step lateral actions, can get his glove down earlier, throws from a high release point with some young carry on his throws. Also caught, sets up in a side saddle stance, tends to stand up straight and early to throw, high 3/4's release slot with a long and loose arm action, made accurate throws. Took a turn on the mound, works from the stretch with a simple belt high delivery and move down the mound, easy low effort arm action. Fastball topped out at 87 mph with some sink and run down in the zone. Also threw an upper 70's curveball with 11/5 depth. May have more projection on the mound than as a position player if he continues to grow. Excellent student.
