Abraham Martinez is a 2026 C/3B with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Dobie. Recorded a 7.86 second sixty-yard dash time. Young, lean frame with plenty of time and room to mature. Primary catcher that receives from a slightly side-saddled stance with segmented catch-and-throw mechanics. Works slightly uphill and gets upright to throw, while using a direct mid-line transfer to work into a lower arm slot. Controlled actions that will continue to improve with further refinement of his skills, recorded arm strength up to 75 mph during drills. Secondary infielder with anticipatory actions into and through the fielding process. Displayed deliberate footwork into the funnel position, gathering cleanly into a longer arm action and recording arm strength up to 65 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and big leg lift trigger. Hands driven swing with rotational lower half mechanics, tries to lift early in the process and the ability to adjust his barrel when necessary. Moving parts into contact cause some inconsistencies with contact, but he shows plenty of things to project on. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
