Cole Wagner is a 2030 C/SS with a 5-6 142 lb. frame from Sarasota, FL who attends Inspiration Academy. Medium young build with the beginnings of some present strength. Switch-hitter at the plate, sets up in a spread and open stance with a well timed close, has loose and relaxed hands in his load, has more present bat speed and barrel feel from the left side with a better swing plane, can get steep right handed at times into contact, chance to develop from both sides. 7.52 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, is athletic out of his crouch and has lower half quickness and flexibility, good foot work in his transitions and throws, some young arm strength, projects well defensively behind the plate as he gets stronger. Also worked out in the infield and showed similar athleticism and lower half quickness, snatchy quick hands and played well on the move.
