Colton Hadfield is a 2027 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Newark, CA who attends Valley Christian Schools. Long, lean build with athleticism and room to add strength. Ran a 6.75 in the 60. Showed advanced actions in the infield with soft hands, quick feet, and a compact release, projecting well at shortstop with arm strength up to 89 mph across the diamond. Moves low to the ground with lateral range, showing smooth, effortless glove work and strong rhythm on the charge. Right-handed hitter with a relaxed approach, loose hands, and a direct path, working on-plane for consistent line drives. Showed ability to backspin the ball to the pull side with some jump off the barrel and projection for more strength at contact as he continues to develop physically. On the mound, worked from a three-quarters slot with a high leg lift and longer arm action. Fastball sat 84-88 mph with late life, complemented by a sharp 74 mph breaking ball that showed 10-4 shape and bite when spun well. Athletic two-way prospect with strong present tools and more upside to come with added strength and refinement.
