Sammy Kane is a 2026 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Carmichael, CA who attends Jesuit. Medium athletic build with some present strength and more to come. 6.98 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has quick feet moving to the ball and is light on his feet, fields the ball out front well and has snatchy hands, 3/4's arm slot with big arm strength and carry, made accurate throws. Showed similar actions and arm strength in the outfield, can play just about anywhere on the field athletically. Right handed hitter, has a busy swing set up with a big hand hitch load, has loose and fast hands and creates some bat speed, mostly an upper half swing, got the barrel out consistent with hard line drive contact. Took at turn on the mound, high leg raise delivery with a 3/4's arm slot. Fastball was in the low 90's with consistent two-seam movement. Change up had some fading life, also threw a mid-70's curveball with gradual 11/5 break. Good student.
