McCoy Silicz is a 2026 RHP/1B with a 6-5 225 lb. frame from Bakersfield, CA who attends Bakersfield Christian. Big and strong athletic build. Works from a side step, hands over head delivery with good lower half drive down the mound, hides the ball well in back into a 3/4's arm slot, good extension out front. Fastball topped out at 94 mph and was mostly straight. Change up was an outstanding pitch with arm speed and life, created swing and miss on his change up. Breaking ball was a sweeping slider. Threw strikes with all three pitches. 6.99 runner in the sixty. Secondary first baseman on defense with good athleticism, stays low fielding and makes accurate throws. Right handed hitter, sets up in a narrow stance with a simple load and trigger, has some hand looseness and strength generated bat speed. Good student with a verbal commitment to Mississippi.
