Maddox Bernardino is a 2023 OF/2B, IF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Diamond Bar, CA who attends Diamond Bar. Features a slender build with room to add. Ran a 7.04 60-yard dash. Worked out on the infield and in the outfield. Showcased good footwork on the dirt with a quick first step. Athleticism allows for good range in both directions. Showed ability to throw on the run well. Displayed an aggressive approach in the outfield. Creates good momentum through the catchpoint into a clean transfer. Short arm action release produces accurate throws. Threw 79 mph during workouts. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a slightly open stance with intent to drive balls to the pullside. Displayed strong hands at contact. Controls the barrel well using a linear path through the zone. More power should come as the frame continues to add strength. Very good student.
