Dylan Montez is a 2028 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Montverde, FL who attends Leesburg. Medium athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. 7.27 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has smooth foot work and works through the ball well, smooth glove work, made accurate throws with developing arm strength. Also worked out in the outfield, charged the ball hard and had smooth foot work through the ball, made accurate on line throws. Projectable at both positions with additional strength. Right handed hitter, sets up in a medium base with a high back elbow, has a short inside swing path with an opposite field line drive approach and developing bat speed. Took a turn on the mound with a low 70's fastball with some cutting action to go with a rare curveball. Excellent student.
