Ben Garrett is a 2027 RHP/1B with a 6-7 210 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Grand Oaks. Extra tall and wiry athletic build with tons of physical projection remaining. Has an easy and well balanced delivery to a low 3/4's arm slot, arm works well and loose out front, can firm up his front side some on landing, low energy release. Fastball sat in the mid-80's and topped out at 87 mph, lots more velocity there as he matures, gets some late running action at times. Mid-70's slider has some spin and two-plane life and occasional dive. Threw a split finger change that had some tumble but tended to slow at release on this pitch. Good student.
