Michael Lorenzetti is a 2022 RHP with a 6-7 200 lb. frame from Bristol, CT who attends Taft School. Extra long and tall build with plenty of room to get stronger. Very good athlete for his size, ran a 6.90 sixty and showed some right handed bat speed at the plate. Works from a slow paced stretch delivery with some energy at release, creates big downhill angle from a high 3/4's arm slot, full loose arm swing in back, tends to work slowly between pitches and would benefit from working at a faster pace. Fastball topped out at 91 mph early before settling into the mid to upper 80's, gets good run down in the zone and some ride up in the zone. Tends to drop his arm slot on his curveball, creates some spin and occasional depth, can be a solid pitch with solid a higher release point. Very live arm with plenty of projection remaining, high upside young prospect. Good student. Named to the Fall Connecticut Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
