Jarrette Bonet is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-3 215 lb. frame from Manati, PR who attends Fernando Callejo. Extra big and physical build. Works from the stretch with a clean arm swing in back, tends to fall off hard to the first base side on release. Fastball worked in the upper 80's and topped out at 90 mph, mostly straight. Threw a slurve type slider as his secondary pitch and was around the plate with both offerings. Left handed hitter, starts from a big high back elbow/barrel wrap load, long and strong swing with a good lower half turn into contact, has some lift and juice in his swing, gets the ball into the air with carry. Interesting power potential. Plays first base when not on the mound. Good student.
