Beckam Whiteside is a 2027 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-5 225 lb. frame from Midland, TX who attends Greenwood. Tall and strong athletic build. Right handed hitter, medium and even feet with a higher handset in the stance, medium stride out into contact, lifted the ball to the pull-side with noticeable strength coming off. Got timed up as the round went on and it comes off easy. 6.88 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman, moves good coming off the bag, two hand funnel out front, clean turns with good accuracy. Fundamentally sound mover that projects to stick at first base, recorded throws up to 89 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher, clean mover down the slope with solid arm speed. Higher three-quarters release, sat in the upper-80s, grabbing 90 mph (1928 RPM). Showed a slider in the mid-70s (2009 RPM) with two-planed shape and a changeup with typical fading action at 80 mph (1447 RPM). Very good student with a commitment to Texas Tech.
