Kyler Syracuse is a 2027 C/RHP/OF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Shepherd, TX who attends Shepherd. Medium athletic build. 6.57 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up in a high stance, has good arm strength and some carry on his throws, longer arm action with developing glove positioning, plenty athletic enough to set up better and improve here with coaching. Also worked out in the outfield, gets the glove down early and has good footwork into the ball, big crow hop slows down his release, high 3/4's arm slot with low on line carry. Right handed hitter, sets up in an open stance with a deep and busy hand load, limited lower half shift into contact, longer uphill swing path, swings hard and has some bat speed, some extension out front. Very good athlete with tools but will take the next step by simplifying all his actions and becoming more fundamental. Good student.
