Alexander Dyer is a 2028 RHP/3B with a 6-2 230 lb. frame from Lawrenceville, NJ who attends Lawrence. Features a big, physical build with significant present strength and plenty of athletic development ahead. Ran a 7.54 60-yard dash. Primarily a third baseman defensively, showing a corner profile with slower, stiffer actions and some effort through the exchange. Did get to his spots though and set into decent posture. Glove work can get stabby with some reaching and flat-footed movements, though he did field the baseball cleanly, including a slow roller. Uses a longer arm action with average present arm strength and some accuracy, but had a couple errant throws during the workout. At the plate, hits from an even base with a square stance and toe-tap timing trigger. Shows present strength with a compact swing and relatively direct, level path, consistently getting out front, handling the barrel well enough to produce line-drive contact to the middle and pull side. There is some stiffness to the overall operation and timing was inconsistent, with the present strength suggesting more impact is possible as the swing continues to develop. On the mound, showed a more segmented delivery with a side-step into a belt-high leg lift and drop-and-drive mechanics. Uses a longer arm action to a 3/4 slot and works downhill with some effort. Fastball worked in the low 80s with mostly straight 4S action on a relatively level plane. Breaking ball is still in the early stages, working in the low 60s with developing spin and an 11-5 shape. The combination of size and present strength gives him an interesting foundation to follow, with continued development of his movements, swing and pitching mechanics key to the overall profile.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
