Matthew Del Valle is a 2025 1B/RHP with a 6-5 210 lb. frame from Westlake, FL who attends The King's Academy. Big and strong athletic build. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread and open stance, exaggerated inside hand path, ball comes off the barrel well when squared, can open up his swing more and take advantage of his strength and leverage. 7.52 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, developing footwork, tends to bend at the waist fielding the ball. Also pitched and has two-way potential. Works from the stretch with a high leg raise start and a long arm takeaway in back. Fastball worked in the low 80's and topped out at 83 mph, very heavy fastball action with low spin traits, sat at the bottom of the zone with his fastball. Slider was a quality second pitch with good arm speed and consistent life. Graded out higher on the mound at this event.
