Caleb Klein is a 2029 1B/RHP/3B/OF with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Leander, TX who attends Tom Glenn. Bigger build with good present strength and more to come. Right handed hitter, sets up in a straight medium stance with a low and tight hand load, turns his lower half tightly, swing is very compact and direct, has bat speed and strength at contact, turns the barrel over well, lots of projection as a hitter. 7.13 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, plays with good rhythm and athleticism, has solid arm strength and can throw from multiple arm slots and made accurate throws, good glove actions. Also worked out in the outfield and infield and has the physical tools for those positions but much more advanced actions at first base. Took a turn on the mound, works from a full wind up with a deliberate pace and a high 3/4's arm slot, short stride down the mound limits his lower half drive. Threw strikes with a fastball up to 80 mph with some sinking action to go with a mid-60's curveball with some downer shape. Good athlete with a strong bat and positional versatility.
