Gavin Ruvalcaba is a 2027 OF/LHP/1B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends American Heritage Plantation. Tall and athletic build with good present strength and room for more. 6.82 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, works aggressively through the ball and fields it cleanly, very good arm strength, showed his athleticism and tools very well. Left handed hitter, sets up in a narrow base with a small leg raise timer and barrel wrap load, loose swing with a middle of the field approach, bat speed projects with additional strength. Also pitched, works from a big leg raise delivery with drop and drive mechanics down the mound, some effort into his release. Fastball was in the upper 80's to go with a short slider and a low 80's change up, change up was his best pitch. Elite level student with a verbal commitment to Duke.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
