Michael Caruso is a 2023 SS/RHP, 3B with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Desert Vista. Athletic build. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.05 seconds. Primary infielder, showed good hands with smooth footwork, has a quick transition with a strong arm, the ball carried well through the bag. Showed his athleticism and moved well laterally to both sides of the field. Clocked up to 86 mph on throws across. Right-handed pitcher. At the plate, hits from an even base with a small leg kick, hands sit even with shoulder. Displayed a middle approach with a short compact swing and good bat speed. Showed the ability to consistently hit line drives. Good student. Named to the West Coast Prospect Top Prospect list.
