2021 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Cannon Jackson is a 2022 1B/RHP with a 6-0 240 lb. frame from Mauldin, SC who attends St. Joseph's Catholic School. Large frame with strong build; ran 60 yard dash in 8.49 seconds. Hits from narrow stance with high hands and back elbow, shorter leg lift trigger, sinks hips well and generates leverage, has pull-side power, can lift and drive, good strength at contact when on time. Worked out at 1st base, higher funnel with solid hands, makes the plays, clocked up to 72 mph on throws. Also pitched, short stride with pushing arm stroke, fastball worked 67-70 mph with short life, flashed short downer CB as well. Very good student.
