Trey Vandergriff is a 2030 SS/RHP/2B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Milton, GA who attends Blessed Trinity Catholic. Medium athletic build with some strength present and more to project for. 7.23 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop, covered ground in the dirt and worked through the baseball well. Showed feel for adjusting the glove to both sides. Showcased soft hands and clean footwork at the position. Recorded arm strength up to 84 mph on throws across the diamond. Secondary pitcher, utilizes a simple delivery with a leg lift up to the core. Generates good drive downhill and accelerates the shoulder well through release. Fastball showed heavy sink, topping out at 88 mph. Mixed in a sweeping slider with bite to it as well as a well-replicated changeup. Right-handed batter, starts in a narrow stance with a high back elbow and high hand set-up. Utilizes a small hanging leg lift for timing before working into a slightly uphill bat path. Generates solid bat speed through the zone with occasional length in the stroke. Looks to create lift towards the pull-side. Good consistency in the barrel with more power to project on as he continues to add strength. Posted an exit velocity of 79 mph. Selected to play in the 2026 Perfect Game 14U Select Festival.
